As its name suggests, A-BONSAI® JinShari features both
jin and
shari elements. These features are used to express the harshness of nature and the transience of life, and are deeply rooted in the philosophy of Zen.
"Jin" refers to the deadwood branches—those that have withered due to natural forces such as lightning, wind, or snow. These withered sections add a unique sense of beauty and history to the bonsai.
"Shari" refers to the whitened, dead sections of the trunk. This effect mimics the natural phenomenon where part of the trunk dies and gradually turns white. Shari lends the tree an aged, dignified appearance, highlighting the fleeting beauty of life.
